Veterans Trading Company has been selected as an Outstanding Small Business for 2021 Lockheed Martin has chosen VTC as a recipient of their Outstanding Small Business Award for 2021.
Tuesday, August 2, 2022 – Veterans Trading Company, Inc. received one of 12 awards given to Outstanding Small Business Suppliers on behalf of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and the Global Supply Chain Operations team.
From procurement activities to point of use delivery, Veterans Trading Company in Ocala, Florida works together with Lockheed Martin to ensure production is always on time and never impacted. The VTC Ocala Team delivers millions of parts across 480 unique electronic components directly to LM. The team ensures proper planning, sourcing, and value add processing through kitting that supported the build of seven circuit card assemblies (CCA) for the AGMS team and ultimately the United States war fighter.
During 2021, VTC effectively mitigated obsolescence and product constraint challenges that arose from the COVID pandemic and various supply chain disruptions. These efforts, coupled with ongoing supplier relationship of custom kit site deliveries, resulted in a program that succeeded in supply performance and effective on-time site deliveries that achieved a predictable program execution. As part of the overall 2021 supply chain and kitting engagement, the Ocala VTC team assisted Lockheed Martin with a site transition effort that resulted in long term regular supply engagement. The efforts involved component processing of CCA kits that included working through packaging requirements for safely transporting kits and the additional value add steps consistent with the needs of the receiving site.
